Big editing screen

The big editing screen

This is the room where the magic happens. Your page sits in the middle. A strip of buttons on the left holds extra pieces you can add. A bar on top has save, preview, and other tools. If something is selected, a side panel might open with more choices.

Top bar (the important buttons)

  • Save — Tells Builder to remember your work. If you change things and don’t save, it’s like closing a game without saving first. Ouch.
  • Preview — Shows the page more like a real visitor would see it — without all the builder doodads in the way.
  • Phone / tablet / wide (or similar) — Squishes or widens the page so you can see if it still looks okay on small screens.
  • Undo / redo — If your Builder has these, they’re like Ctrl+Z in a drawing app: step backward or forward through recent moves.

Left strip — your toy box

Tap the icons to switch between big starters (Templates), chunky sections (Blocks), smaller bits (Components), and shortcuts tied to Pages. Drag things onto the page where it says you can drop them — or tap them if your Builder works that way. Your profile button usually hangs out at the bottom of this strip.

Unsaved work

If you changed words or moved sections, save before you wander away. Some menus remind you if there’s still unsaved stuff — don’t ignore those nag messages; they’re trying to save your feelings.

Tiny warning

Fancy gadgets embedded from other websites sometimes act weird inside the editor. If something looks odd, check again using Preview — that’s closer to what visitors get.
